User data deletion

You can delete your SnapBet account and every piece of personal data we hold about you, at any time. We complete deletions within 30 days of receiving the request.

How to request deletion

Two ways, both monitored:

  1. On WhatsApp. From your registered phone number, send the message DELETE MY DATA to the SnapBet bot. The bot will confirm and start the deletion immediately.
  2. By email. Send a message from the email address on file (or from any address, mentioning your registered phone number) to privacy@snapbet.app with the subject "Delete my data".

What gets deleted

What we are legally required to retain

The only data we keep after deletion is the minimum we are legally required to keep. Records of bets we placed on your behalf may be retained for 5 years to comply with Nigerian gaming and tax recordkeeping. Those records are isolated, access-restricted, and not used for any product purpose. Deleting your SnapBet account does not delete your bookmaker accounts (SportyBet, Bet9ja, 1xBet) — contact each bookmaker directly to close those.

Confirmation and timeline

Within 30 days of your request, you will receive an email (or WhatsApp message) confirming that your data has been deleted. If we need more time for a specific case (rare), we will tell you why and when to expect completion.

Note for Meta App Review

This page is the canonical user-facing data deletion mechanism for SnapBet's WhatsApp Business Platform integration. The address privacy@snapbet.app is actively monitored for deletion requests and we respond within 30 days as required by Meta's developer policies and applicable Nigerian data protection law (NDPA 2023).
